Looking for the Best Chemical Peels in Columbus?

As our client testimonials about chemical peels illustrate, Southeast Regional Med Spa provides the best chemical peels in Columbus, GA.

Chemical face peels, aka chemical peels, are designed to help with antiaging by targeting acne, melasma, aging skin, hyperpigmentation (dark spots mainly from the sun), stretch marks and skin turn over.   We provide chemical peels for face, chemical peels for acne scars, chemical peel for dark spots, and more.

The procedure is one in which a special solution is applied to the skin and the top layers of the skin are then removed.  The skin that is under these layers, which are often damaged due to the sun or heavy with acne or other spots or marks, grows back smoother.  It is a scientific process best done by an expert, like our professionals at Southeast Regional Med Spa, and with medical supervision, which we also have at our med spa.  Our experts have years of experience and can help you determine what type of peel will work best for your skin and the level of the peel to get the results you desire.

Here at Southeast Regional Med Spa, we offer Obagi and VI Peels that can be used on all skin types.

Chemical Peel Services FAQ's

A chemical peel is a procedure in which a chemical solution is applied to the skin to remove the top layers.

Most people have a chemical peel because they have discolored skin, scars, wrinkles or other skin conditions that they want to remove or reduce.

Don’t use any depilatories or hair removal techniques around a week before a chemical peel.  Ask the experts at Southeast Regional Med Spa what cosmetic treatments you should avoid as well.  If there is area you are planning to treat where you do hair dying treatments, permanent-wave or hair-straightening, facial masks, or facial scrubs, hold off until after your chemical peel.

Typically 3-4 days. It can take 7-14 days in some case for the skin to completely heal.  It varies depending on your skin type, the level of the peel, and more.

Absolutely. Your skin can improve in texture, appearance, and tone after one treatment.  The peel also works to exfoliate the surface of your skin, which can help the skin look fresh and healthier right away.

In rare cases, the skin can darken after a chemical peel. This is a rare side effect.  It is known as hyperpigmentation.  But it is highly uncommon.

It’s best to wait a day to apply makeup. If the peel is a medium peel, waiting 5 days or so is best.  Consult with your expert at Southeast Regional Med Spa with this and any other questions you may have.

A chemical peel for face is when a chemical solution is applied to the skin on the face to remove the top layers. Smoother, “newer” skin then grows back.  There are different types of chemical peel for faces and only trained, experienced technicians should do chemical peels.

There are numerous benefits that result from a chemical face peel.  A chemical face peel can be used to treat wrinkles, discolored skin and scars.  On the face a chemical peel can be done safely, while certain other skin peeling procedures are not safe to be done on the face.  There are different types of chemical face peels with different types of benefits.

The chemical face peels at Southeast Regional Med Spa  are extremely affordable.  For prices simply scroll up on this page or visit the pricing page.

There are three main types of chemical peels, the (1) light, (2) medium and (3) deep chemical peel.  Much like they sound, the level of skin cells removed is what defines the name or level of the peel.  Because everyone’s skin is different, it is important that you consult with one of our experts to see which type of peel will be best for your skin and consistent with your goals.

Some specific types of peels include chemical peel for acne scards, chemical peel for dark spots, and more.  A chemical face peel can positively impact your appearance in many ways.

After any of the types of chemical peels, your skin will have some degree of redness, tightness, irritation or swelling.  You may be perfectly comfortable and not be impacted heavily by the peels.  But having a deep chemical peel, you can expect to experience some redness, swelling and other effects which will go away over time.

In any event, just follow the instructions provided at the time of the peel by the team at Southeast Regional Med Spa.

A chemical peel for acne scars is intended to improve your appearance by removing the outer layer of skin.  If you want a chemical peel for acne scars, our technicians will walk you through the process and if there is scarring on the outer surface of your skin, the chemical face peel is intended to remove what may be years of scar tissue on your skin.  It is a very popular procedure and can really help improve your appearance.
